Our story

We make the feed, and we farm with it

Our own ponds are the first to use every feed we make.

Birat Agri began in 2020 with one aim: to give fish farmers in eastern Nepal a feed they could rely on. In 2021 we opened a floating fish feed plant at Khanar, Itahari-13, under the name Birat Feed.

That is why we farm fish too. Today we grow pangas, tilapia and carp on 100 bigha of ponds at five sites in Morang and Sunsari, raise fingerlings in our own hatchery, and sell fresh fish through our outlets.

As the work grew beyond feed, Birat Feed Pvt. Ltd. became Birat Agri Limited. The bags still carry the Birat Feed name that farmers know.

How we keep quality

Quality you can see in the pond

Good feed starts with good ingredients. We check them when they arrive, and we check the pellets before they are bagged: even size, little dust, and firm enough to hold together in water.

Because the pellets float, you can see your fish feeding and stop when they stop. Less feed is wasted, and the pond stays cleaner.
